ABOUT ScalableLI

ABOUT Scalable Link Interface [SLI]

SLI, or Scalable Link Interface first introduced in 1998 with VGA Card 3dfx product vodoo2 by nVidia. in the process, a method using SLI SFR [split frame Rendering] where every frame is divided "two" to the GPU [Graphics Processing Unit], the process occurs when using two vga card. AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) is a method of rendering the first series where the GPU is being merender, the second GPU merender next frame at the same time, AFR and SFR used by quad SLI. SLI-AA [Anti-Aliasing] This mode is not intended to improve the image quality. HybridSLI is the name for the two technologies: GeForce Boost and HybridPower GeForce Boost technology is video on-board that will improve the performance of 3D, the problem is only GeForce 8400 GS and GeForce 8500 GT that supports the two technologies, if you do not use the VGA type, then GeForce Boost technology will not be active. HybridPower Technology where VGA is disabled if you do not play games, so save energy. while non-active is used VGA VGA onboard. the problem is only two video card that is compatible with HybridPower: GeForce 9800 GTX and GeForce 9800 GX2 to enable SLI or CrossFire, you must use the motherboard with two or more ex PCi, in choosing motherboard you should consider these chipset, for SLI nForce chipset, and chipset for AMD-ATI CrossFire, unless you decide to use the Intel Dual Socket Extreme D5400XS platform that supports SLI and CrossFireX technology. In use, dual SLI, 3-way SLI, quad SLI using the SLI bridge, except for certain types vga [GeForce 6600, 7100 and 7300] and there is a difference for SLI VGA type, the same is for all must use the VGA is the same type, even from the factory and bios version.

Of two articles it's up to you to choose which technology is appropriate for your graphics needs.
